Tagung an der Universität Wien – 14./15. November 2025, Wien
2025 jährt sich der 100. Geburtstag sowie der 30. Todestag des französischen Philosophen Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995). Zu diesem Anlass widmen wir uns in einer Tagung den mannigfaltigen gegenwärtigen Gebrauchsweisen von Deleuzes Werk und fragen insbesondere nach den produktiven sowie kritischen Perspektiven, welche die Philosophie von Deleuze (und Guattari) bereithält. Foucaults berühmte und von Deleuze selbst als Scherz verstandene Prophezeiung – "Aber eines Tages wird das Jahrhundert vielleicht deleuzianisch sein" (Foucault, Schriften in vier Bänden II, 94) – dient dabei als Anlass einer Bestandsaufnahme wie spekulativer Durchgangspunkt: 100 Jahre zurück, 100 Jahre voraus.

Conference at the University of Vienna – November 14-15, 2025
2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth and 30th anniversary of the death of French philosopher Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995). On this occasion, we are dedicating a conference to the manifold contemporary uses of Deleuze's work and, in particular, to the productive and critical perspectives offered by the philosophy of Deleuze (and Guattari). Foucault's famous prophecy, which Deleuze himself understood as a joke – “perhaps one day this century will be known as Deleuzian” – serves as both a starting point for taking inventory and for speculative transition: 100 years back, 100 years ahead.
