Dear all, This is a kind reminder that the pragmatic academic event on "Philosophy PhD Job Applications" will take place today. Date: 04.11.24 - 14:00-15:30 - Room 3A, NiG Speakers: Katalin Farkas (CEU), Max Kölbel and Georg Schiemer Moderator: Emelia Stanley If you're considering a Ph.D. in philosophy, or if you're a doctoral researcher and planning to apply for funded positions, this workshop is for you. Participants will learn how to identify opportunities, what hiring committees are looking for, how to put together a competitive application, and how to best prepare for interviews. The workshop will familiarize participants with the types of PhD positions available in philosophy and give them some practical ideas on how to put together an outstanding application. Prof. Farkas, Prof. Kölbel, and Prof. Schiemer will share their insights on how to write cover letters, CVs, research proposals, and writing samples.
