I would like to draw your attention to an open call from the Austrian
Academy of Sciences / Cluster of Excellence EurAsian Transformations for
doctoral and early postdoctoral researchers. Please disseminate the call
among your faculty as you see fit.
EurAsia Young Scholars Award for Research in East and Southeast Asia
(Alpha+)
The Cluster of Excellence EurAsian Transformations offers funding for
extended study and research stays in East and Southeast Asia. The focus
is on using digital tools to explore cultural heritage and related
economic/social topics.
Who can apply?
Doctoral and early postdoctoral researchers (within 8 years of PhD)
affiliated with Austrian academic institutions.
Eligible countries include: Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Mongolia,
Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and more.
What's covered? Travel, accommodation, per diems, and research expenses
– up to €10,000.
Requirements: Minimum 2-week stay with active collaboration or exchange
with local scholars. Participation in COE Summer Academies is also
supported.
