Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the publication of "Philosophische und
populärwissenschaftliche Schriften" of Hermann von Helmholtz
(1821-1894), German physicist and physiologist.
This edition fully covers the treatises published by Helmholtz
relating to philosophy of science and epistemology, some of which are
rare and difficult to access, as well as his popular writings on
science and mathematics. In addition, the collection contains an
introduction to the life and work of Helmholtz along with a
bibliography of all his works including his treatises and English
translations. Each publication is annotated with a bibliography note
documenting the history of its publication. The work is complemented
by an index of names and subjects.
